FAQ
Questions from both sides
Bidding is not open yet, so these answers describe how Stick On Me will work. Where something is not decided, we say so.
Getting sponsored
Which events fit, what you do on the day, and what it costs you.
Is Stick On Me only for athletes?
No. Anyone going to an event where people will see them can join the list, whether that is a race, a conference, a gig, a convention or a market. Athletes go first because the HYROX size rules are clear, and the first pages go to HYROX athletes in October. Tell us your event when you join.
What counts as an event?
Anything with a date, a place and people who will see you there, in person or on camera. A race, a talk, a DJ set, a convention, a market day, a charity run or a club night all count. When you join, we ask for its name and date.
Do I need a big audience?
No. Brands here pay for a real person at a real event on a known date, so the event counts as much as your follower count. You can join with any audience size.
What do I do on the day?
Apply what we sent using the placement guide, go to your event, and post one photo of the logo in place. That photo is the proof photo, and it goes to the brand.
Can I say no to a brand?
Always. You approve every takeover before it lands on you or your laptop, and you can veto any logo with no reason given and no penalty.
What does it cost?
Joining the waitlist is free. Building your 3D model is a one-time $9.99 for each page, charged when we build it. After that we take 12% of what a brand pays for a slot, and we do the printing and shipping. If no brand takes a slot, there is nothing more to pay. Brands pay the price shown. Slots open around $200 and double with each takeover, and an outbid brand gets a full refund.
Why is there a fee to build my model?
It pays for turning your three photos into a 3D model of you, scaled to your height, so every slot shows at its printed size. You pay it once for each page, when we build the model, right after your photos pass our checks. The plan is to refund the fee if we cannot build a usable model from your photos. That is the intended policy, and it is not decided yet. We have also not decided whether the fee counts toward your first sponsorship, or whether a retake is free. Nothing can be paid today.
Can I offer a laptop or a shirt instead?
Yes, that is the plan. Body slots come first, starting with HYROX athletes in October. Laptop slots (stickers on the lid) and shirt slots (a plain technical tee printed for your event) come after that. We have not set dates for either. Tick the surface you want when you join, and we will tell you when it opens.
I stream or post every week but have no single event. Can I join?
Yes. Laptop and shirt slots can run for a set term, such as 30 or 90 days, instead of one event. They open after body slots, and we have not set a date. Tick Laptop or Shirt when you join and we will tell you when they open.
Do I pay anything if no brand takes a slot?
You pay the one-time model fee for your page. There is nothing else to pay, and nothing is printed for a slot nobody takes. We take 12% only when a brand pays. The model fee is not returned if a slot goes untaken. We cannot promise that any slot will be taken. Slots open around $200, which is what the first brand pays to take one.
Can a club, team or group get sponsored together?
Not as one page yet. Each page is one person at one event. If your club or crew wants to join together, email [email protected] and tell us about it.
When can brands bid, and when does my kind of event open?
Bidding is not open yet. It opens with the first pages, which go to HYROX athletes in October. Laptop and shirt slots come next, and the events people send us tell us what to support after that. We have not set dates for any of it, and we will not announce one until it is real.
For brands
Pricing, refunds, and what you get for a slot.
When does bidding open?
Bidding is not open yet, and no slot can be taken today. The first pages come in October, for HYROX athletes, and brands on the list see them first. We have not set an exact date, and we will not announce one until it is real.
How does pricing work for a brand?
There are two ways to take a slot. In the live auction, a slot opens around $200 and each takeover doubles the price, so $200 becomes $400 after one takeover and $800 after two. The other way is the person’s fixed price. Brands pay the price shown. Our 12% comes out of the person’s side, so it is never added on top for the brand. The one-time fee to build a 3D model is paid by the person, not the brand.
What does a brand get back if it is outbid?
A full refund of what it paid. That is what makes the doubling auction safe to enter, because losing a slot costs a brand nothing. How quickly a refund lands is not decided yet.
Can a brand pick who carries its logo?
Yes. A brand chooses the page and the slot, so it knows the person and the event before it pays. The person then approves the logo and can veto any logo, with no reason given. In the auction another brand can take over a slot, and the outbid brand is refunded in full.
What is the exposure number?
It is the number of people who will see a slot, reported per slot. We are building it and it is not live yet. How we will count it is not decided yet. When it ships, we plan to write the method next to the number so a brand can judge it for itself.
How will a brand know its logo was worn?
We are building photo-verified placement. The plan is that a brand gets the photos showing its logo on the person at the event. It is not live yet, and today there is nothing to verify because no slot has been taken.
Printing and event rules
Tattoos, event rules and what we refuse.
Who prints the tattoos?
We do. We print the tattoos and stickers and ship them to the person before the event, with a placement guide. You do not arrange printing or shipping.
Are the tattoos safe?
We have not published materials or safety details yet, so we will not make a safety claim here. What is settled is that they are temporary tattoos, and that nothing lands on your skin until you have approved the logo. If you have sensitive skin, allergies or a medical condition, ask a doctor first, or choose a shirt or laptop slot.
How long do they last?
We have not published a wear time, because we have not finalized it. They are made for event day. We will not put a number here until we can stand behind it.
Is a sponsor logo allowed at my event?
It depends on the event. At HYROX the limits are 20 cm² on the upper arm and 32 cm² on the chest or a leg, and third-party logos are not allowed on race clothing. Many trade shows and conventions limit promotion by anyone who is not an exhibitor or sponsor. Check your event’s rules before you offer a slot. What happens to a brand’s payment if an event bans a placement after the slot is taken is not decided yet.
What if the event bans them?
Check the event’s rules before you offer a body slot. We size body slots to the HYROX limits, and other events vary. HYROX does not allow third-party logos on race clothing, so a shirt slot is not a way round a race rule. What happens to a brand’s payment if an event bans a placement after the slot is taken is not decided yet.
What can never be advertised?
We refuse gambling, crypto tokens, adult content, tobacco and vapes, weapons, unregulated pharmaceuticals and peptides, and political campaigns. The full list is on the sponsor rules page.
Is a paid slot an endorsement I have to disclose?
Yes, treat it as one. Paid placement on a person is an endorsement with a material connection, and every page carries a Paid sponsorships disclosure. Rules on how to disclose in your own posts depend on where you live, so check them.
